Replacement Dwelling
Longhouse replacement dwelling in Llanrhystud
A scheme put together by Huw for a replacement dwelling on the outskirts of Llanrhystud in Ceredigion. With the original dwelling being a traditional Welsh longhouse, we wanted to come up with a proposal that reflected the historic form, with the addition of some modern elements to provide comfortable 21st century living. The design incorporates an open plan living/kitchen/diner, oak frame sunroom and three double bedroom. Externally, the finishes include reclaimed stone from the original building, horizontal timber cladding and an oak frame sunroom, all below a natural slate roof.
